Writing Up An Experiment

As part of our How the World Works unit, we have been learning about the scientific process. Here is a scientific report that I wrote. Something I still need to work on when writing up experiments is recording the data better and also making sure that all the control variables are set so that everything is accurate. (they were pretty accurate but we could have done a tiny bit better.)

This is my group getting ready to test the boiling vinegar as I am heating the vinegar and Francesc is getting the vinegar in the bottle and Nell is getting ready to record.

This is our group doing our best to get the baking soda in the balloon but we struggled a lot with it, it was still a lot of fun.

  1. You were an excellent communicator when conducting the baking soda and balloon experiment. You demonstrated a knowledgable attitude and used effective scientific language when discussing your hypothesis and method. Moving forward, be sure to include detail in all areas of the report... the data analysis is important!
