Vincent 5R Semester Review


   
My first semester at ISZL was amazing, I loved it and I'm super excited about our next semester.

I love my class, 5R, because of our amazing, funny, and super smart teacher Ms. Rhead, and my amazing classmates, I also really like that all of my main friends are in my class because that makes it even better.

I have learned a lot of new math strategy's, and also the learner profile attributes.
I have also learned more about a lot of things in UOI. ( Unit Of Inquiry )

I hope the second semester is as good as the first one, or even better!!

5R Assembly Reflection

5R Assembly Reflection For our assembly we focused on our unit, HWEO, and the central idea, change can occur when artists align themselves with issues and opportunities. I was part of the metal heads as a headbanger. It was really fun just getting to crazy in front of almost 300 people. I also made a teensy weensy little mistake when I was saying my lines in front of everyone, I thought that is was really embarrassing, but I was reassured by my parents that I was fine. PMI Chart P: Positives M: Minuses I: Ideas P: I learned how to use my voice better in front of a large crowd. I also thought that the skits where all great, and the way we presented our unit was great as well, I also thought that the slide show we used was great, and my parents were there. M: I learned that certain skits need more practice than others, for example, the Banksy skit could have used some more practice, but it was still absolutely awesome. Identity Poem

At the start of the year, as part of our Who We Are unit, we were thinking about identity. Here is a poem I wrote to share some aspects of my identity. I am Vincent. I wonder what created the universe and beyond. I hear my grandmother talking about us in Belgium. I see my mom working hard to sustain our family. I want to see everything the world has to offer. I am Vincent. I pretend to be okay when i need somebody. I feel happy when I am with the right people. I touch the mouse of the laptop when I play video games. I worry my great grandmother will die when our family is not there. I cry when I am hurt. I am Vincent. I understand what it’s like to be the new kid. I say things I regret a lot. I dream that the world was what everyone wanted it to be. I try to be something I’m not sometimes. I am Vincent. Me, my brother and my friends in the first week of school.
